Impact of periprocedural myocardial necrosis on short term clinical outcome
نویسندگان
چکیده
Methods CK, CK-MB, and cTn I were prospectively assessed in 100 patients who underwent elective PCI during the period between Jan 2012 and Jan 2013. Patients were subjected to history taking, routine laboratory investigations, electrocardiogram ( ECG), cardiac biomarkers assay, and Echocardiography pre and post PCI. The primary end point was death, myocardial infarction or severe, recurrent ischemia at 90 days.

Does creatinine kinase-MB elevation after percutaneous coronary intervention predict outcomes in 2005? Periprocedural cardiac enzyme elevation predicts adverse outcomes.
Extensive clinical investigation throughout the 1990s validated periprocedural myonecrosis as a powerful predictor of adverse outcomes, so it is surprising that this remains a contentious point. Originally derided as “enzyme leaks” or “myocardial infarctlets,” periprocedural myocardial infarction (MI) has now been definitively linked in large data sets to long-term adverse outcomes, most notabl...

Introduction: To investigate 28 days survival rate following first acute myocardial infarction (AMI) associated with the presence of classical risk factors and treatment modalities in Gorgan, north of Iran. Materials and methods: Our cohort including all patients hospitalized due to AMI from 2010 to 2013. Data were collected on demographic, prophylactic drugs and classical coronary risk fa...
متن کاملMyocardial Infarction in a Rhesus Monkey
Myocardial necrosis can be result from a number of causes including nutritional deficiencies, chemical and plant toxins, ischemia and metabolic disorder. The outcome of myocardial necrosis varies depending on the extent of the damage (Donald 2001, Jubb 1993, Radostits 1994, Vanvaleet 1986). Myocardial infarction without demonstrable of atherosclerosis were reported in a rhesus macaque (Gonder 1...
متن کاملNeonatal thrombocytopenia in the NICU of our series: etiology, predisposing factors, management and short-term outcome
Background: Thrombocytopenia (TTP) is one of the most common neonatal hematological disorders. The causes of neonatal TTP are very various, leading to large differences in the clinical profile of the affected neonates. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics, clinical diagnoses and short-term outcomes of neonatal TTP in Bahrami Children's Hospital. Material and ...

OBJECTIVE AND BACKGROUND The aim of this study is to provide an evidence-based review of the periprocedural safety and long-term effectiveness of carotid artery stenting (CAS) compared to carotid endarterectomy (CEA), with particular attention paid to the use of embolic protection devices and patients at high risk for CEA. METHODS Electronic databases (Ovid Medline, Cochrane central register ...
